The appeal is obvious if you're already committed to MaxxECU for engine management. It's worth knowing this integration is still in beta and currently limited to Gen 1 8HP45/70/90 transmissions, so variant compatibility is narrower than the more established options.
Choosing Based on What You're Building
If you want maximum customization, virtual clutch functionality, or a transbrake for drag applications, and don't mind the additional tuning time, TurboLamik is the default recommendation across nearly every swap guide and builder community discussing this transmission. If OEM-like drivability and reversibility matter more than ultimate customization, CANTCU is worth strong consideration.
