Which 8HP transmissions this kit covers
This kit covers the BMW 8HP50, 8HP51, 8HP70, 8HP75 and 8HP76 cases listed below. ASE builds kits across the larger 8HP range — 8HP50 through 8HP96 — in BMW, Mopar, Dodge/Ram truck, EcoDiesel and Jaguar variants.
The small BMW / Dodge 8HP45 is not supported. (The Jaguar 8HP45 is a separate case — it shares Jaguar's unique four-bolt torque converter with the Jaguar 8HP70 and is covered by the Jaguar kit.)
You will also need a TCU
This kit is the mechanical engine-to-transmission adapter only. The 8HP is electronically controlled and will not shift without a standalone transmission controller — such as the TurboLamik TCU 8HP Controller — purchased separately.
