Identifying your bell housing — J1, J2 or J3
The J-code refers to the Toyota A340 automatic bell housing and is stamped into the casting of your original automatic bell housing. Check there before selecting. A J3 plate can be requested after ordering at the same price.
Slave cylinder
This cut-version kit uses the T56 99 Camaro slave cylinder for correct throw. When installed the slave should sit fully compressed against the pressure plate fingers with no preload.
Driveshaft
Not included — ordered separately. Steel and aluminum are both built on 3" tube, and carbon is also offered.
CD or JK transmission?
Either works. CD and JK adapter plates interchange freely. The only ASE product where that distinction matters is the front mount shifter.
