Autosports Engineering Pilot Bushing Adapter for the CD009 conversion.
Two sizes are offered — measure your flywheel's center bore before ordering. The smaller 1.65" fits flywheels from other brand kits as well as ASE flywheels made between 2018 and November 2025. The 1.75" suits later and larger center bore flywheels.
This is the adapter that carries the pilot bearing, sized to your flywheel center bore. It is not a complete pilot bearing housing assembly. The bearing itself is a custom 32mm OD × 16mm ID true rolling bearing — ASE has these made specifically because a 32×16 bearing is not manufactured for the CD009 application. The 16mm inner diameter is what allows it to run on the CD009 input shaft.
All current ASE pilot bearings are true rolling bearings, superseding the earlier solid one-piece design. Product images reflect the current version.
If a pilot bushing adapter has been destroyed prematurely, the adapter is usually not the cause.
The CD009 comes with one of three main input shaft bearings depending on year — 90 mm, 95 mm or 100 mm. Every ASE adapter plate is cut for the 100 mm, which is by far the most common.
Install a plate against a 90 mm or 95 mm bearing and there is visible play in the bore. The shaft moves radially inside that gap continuously, which causes noise, tears up the input shaft bearing, and prematurely destroys the pilot bushing adapter. The adapter is absorbing movement it was never designed to take.
The fix ships in every current CD009 kit: precision laser cut bearing rings that convert a 90 mm or 95 mm bearing up to 100 mm. The thinner ring handles 95 mm, the thicker one handles 90 mm. They pop straight on with no fitting.
Measure your bearing OD before installing the plate. It takes thirty seconds and prevents a teardown.
All standard non custom made to order items are eligible for return within 30 days of purchase. To request a return purchaser must email us or call to request Instructions on how to proceed with returning an item. Upon receipt of your return you will be issued a return within 3-5 business days. Any custom order items will only have 7 days from the date of purchase/payment to request a cancellation/refund. Beyond that time frame you will be issued a refund up to 30 days from purchase minus a 20% restocking/cancellation fee. All refunds will be issued in the same form as your payment was made/ If you purchase via PayPal your refund will be via PayPal etc. Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with the return of an item as far as shipping/freights go. All items must be return in NEW unused condition. Any damage to the item with be due a 20% minimum restocking fee. Exchanges for product defect or warranty will not incur any restocking charges and shipping charges will be credited as well.
